Time to Unplug

Utopia!

The time has arrived to check off another item on our bucket list.  We will be offline during the first five days in April to hike the Milford Track, a 54 kilometer (33.5 mile) trail through New Zealand's beautiful fiord country.  If paradise is a place where cell phones don't work, we'll certainly have explored it.

I am jealous! Matt - Frank Hill from ATTB did this hike with his daughter near the end of our term there. He showed me the pictures and I have wanted to do it since. The closest I have come to camping lately was spending the night in O'Hare due to cancelled flights on my way to Richmond, VA. I'm thinking NZ is more fun.

Steve - Thanks for the comment! We have successfully completed the hike...10.5 miles on day one, 9.5 miles on day two, and 13.5 miles on day three. We have a load of pictures to go through and will share some in the near future. Soon you'll be able to scroll through our images while awaiting delayed and cancelled flights - What a joy that will be! :)

Interesting that it was O'Hare that got you. We stopped flying through Chicago about a decade ago because of consistent delays and cancelations. The lower price for flights laying over in Chicago seemed to come at a high cost in terms of lost vacation time.
