Fact or Fiction - We're Moving to The Islands!

The following submission is either completely fictional or is fact-based. You decide - Please add a comment noting whether you think it is True or False with your own entertaining or supporting commentary. The answer will be revealed in a future comment on this post.
Sometimes you just can't ignore the signs. It started simply enough last Sunday when a few Facebook pictures motivated a comment from Matt's brother, observing that Sint Marten "would be a hard place to leave". These words would linger in our minds and eventually contribute to a life-altering decision.
On Monday morning Matt received an email from Zillow.com that included the estimated value for our Colorado home. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the hot housing market had reached Golden. That night, while sitting on the dock enjoying drinks, we discussed the flexibility that our home equity might afford us.
On Tuesday we ran into Pierre, the owner of the pool-house we are renting. We complimented him on his yacht, a real beauty which is 20 years old, but well maintained. He thanked us and casually added that it is for sale because he doesn't use it as often as he used to.
The picture started coming together. That night we discussed the possibility of selling our house, buying Pierre's Horizon 57' yacht, and moving aboard for a life of blue water, cool rum, and fresh fish.
This upcoming Wednesday we return to Colorado for several weeks. We have already contacted our realtor and will sign a power of attorney so the property sale can occur while we are in Europe this autumn. If all goes according to plan, we will celebrate Christmas from the deck of our floating home in the Caribbean, going from island to island and living a life we had never dreamt possible.

Whilst withering away in corporate life, dreaming of oceans as blue as my eyes, winds flowing through my teeth; I do declare a yacht on your horizon in which you sail to Colorado and rescue the poor blue eyed buck tooth hopeless soul from the mundane nuances of reality.
Lady Dreamer - That's the most beautiful, eloquent, and poetic Fact or Fiction response we've ever received!
I say fiction!!! but you certainly have us wondering.
Jenn, I say fiction - only because I think you will miss Colorado too much! But it is a tempting thought. Have you read the book "Home Sweet Anywhere"? It is written by a lady who with her husband sold their house in California and now are travelling the world full time, living in different cities and other places for a month or two at a time. Really interesting story and will make you think of living a nomadic life.
So when the Dutch march into France wearing their wooden shoes and seize the champagne cellars in protest of the French producing fake gouda, whose side will you take?
Steve - We will side with the French...They have better wine! ;)
We are obsessed with reading travel / adventure books, but we hadn't heard of "Home Sweet Anywhere". We just purchased it to read on our next leg of the journey to Europe. Thanks for the suggestion!
Having been to St. Maarten, I understand your quandary here. I say go for it, although the next time we pull up in a cruise ship, the thought of running into Matt on Orient Beach may scare me away. LOL Good luck with whatever decision you make and know that others like my wife and I may be joining you at some point. :)
Todd - Funny you say that...we went to Orient Beach for a day while in St. Martin. People are very "free" there; we on the other hand, kept to our conservative, American ways. Thanks for the comment. We would love to see you and your wife any time / anywhere.
Alright! It's time for the reveal. This particular blog post struck a cord with our friends and family. In fact, there was one family member that threatened to move onto the boat with us. YIKES!
As tempting as the thought might be, Matt and I like boats, but are not sure living on one would be ideal. Have you seen how pale we are after 3 weeks in the sun?!
So, this particular Fact or Fiction is <Fiction>.
